The American School of El Salvador is a bicultural institution with an international calendar, which means that our school year is between the months of August and June the next year having worked a minimum of 200 school days. During this period both the national and international curriculums are developed. The duration of undergraduate studies is 2 years (10th – 11th). As an added value, German and French are taught to enrich the academic and cultural formation of our students. The mission of American School of El Salvador is to provide a bicultural Spanish-English academic program which encourages the development of good Christian values, study habits, skills, and attitudes towards learning, which will develop the necessary tools to take decisions and solve life situations, which will allow a successful development in the society they live in.


The Director is the main unit that plans, directs, guides, organizes, develops and evaluates in collaboration with the Board of Directors of the School, and the general administration, the overall work program of the institution.
