The Globetrottin’ ADs – S2E14 – Student Voices

Globetrottin' ADs
March 23,  2021

Matt and Nick are joined by Dave Horner and Chris Mott for a traditional post conference wrap up. This time the guy talk about the Student Athlete Leadership Conference which they organized on February 12th 2020. The conference focused on student led sessions with two keynote speakers. Watching either live or the recordings afterwards the conference had over one hundred international schools from around the world take part.

Staying true to the spirit of the conference, this episode also features the voices of four students. Two of the students featured were presenters at the conference while the other two were participants. The students involved in the conference either as participants or presenters came together as a global community of international school students. They conquered fears, they asked questions, they learned new things, they became content creators.

The voices of the students were strong and should be heard by their peers, their parents, their teachers, and their coaches. Now that this conference is known by students, teachers and schools the hope is that in 2021 more schools will embrace it, promote it and learn from it. You can view the conference home page and get a glimpse of what was offered;
