Flattening the Curve While on a Learning Curve – Catarina Song Chen
Catarina Song Chen, the director at the American School of Belo Horizonte, Brazil joined SchoolRubric on April 11, 2020 to present her perspective on the COVID-19 pandemic that has closed schools across the world. Her presentation provided an important “birds-eye” perspective due to her role as the chief executive of a school.
In addition to providing information regarding how the school is responding in the immediate term due to the school closure, other forward-looking topics were also discussed such as whether to suspend planned capital project expansions, the status of recruiting and hiring for following academic year, and budgeting in a time of uncertainty.
